Who Are David Goggins Parents?

David Goggins is one of the two sons of Trunnis and Jackie Goggins. He was born on 17 February 1975, in Buffalo, New York, and holds American nationality.

When Goggins was 6 years old, he resided with his family in Williamsville, New York. His dad, Trunnis, was the proprietor of the Skateland, situated in Buffalo, United States.

According to David, he used to help his mom and dad although he was very young. In his memoir, he claimed his father was an alcoholic and severely abusive towards his family members.

Later, he, alongside his mother and young brother, flew to Brazil, Indiana. As a single parent, Jackie raised two of her sons with lots of struggle and financial difficulties. So, David now credits his success to his loving mom.

The Goggins family learned about David’s father’s passing on 5 November 2013, at the last minute. Trunnis took his last breath at Buffalo General Medical Center.

David Goggins was raised alongside his younger brother, Trunnis Jr., in Brazil.  Growing up, the Goggins siblings faced hardships, including poverty, brutality, and prejudice.

In April 2022, Trunnis Jr. talked with DAD TALK TODAY and shared how their living situation was more like a “hell hole” with no family environment or celebrations since they were made to feel more like labourers or robots.

He also acknowledged his mom for everything she did for them to protect them from their father’s abusive behaviour. After their parents parted ways, Turnnis Jr lived with his patriarch while his brother moved in with their mother.
