Reason why Glenn Villeneuve leave Life Below Zero

Glenn Villeneuve said a final goodbye to Life Below Zero in September 2019.

The celebrity hunter shared the shocking news through his Facebook page, revealing no one from the production informed him about filming further episodes of the show.

He wrote on his FB post,

“Tuesday, September 24th, will mark such a turning point for me, for the season premiere of Life Below Zero will be the final episode of the program in which my family and I will appear.”

He further added,

“I don’t know the full answer, I only know that after filming my moose hunt last fall no one ever called me back about filming again. No goodbyes, no thank you for over 85 episodes, no explanations.”

Villeneuve also opened up when he tried to inquire with the team of LBZ, but he only got to hear that they no longer needed him.

Through his post, the survivalist also expressed his gratitude towards his fans for all their support and feedback since he joined the TV industry.

Glenn also talked on the matter in the podcast of Joe Rogan in late 2019, where he shared that there had been creative disagreements between him and the show’s producers.

Talking about the show, Villeneuve shared, “We had fallen out.” And, when the podcast host asked him, what was the falling out about?, the LBZ’s star mentioned,

“They never told me exactly. They just got ready and renewed my contract. We went out and filmed one episode and I never heard from them again.”

Wolf Attack

In the same podcast with Joe Rogan, Glenn also stated that he had encountered wolves while living in Alaska. The nomad proclaimed that he killed three wolves in self-defense. But, when the podcast was released, netizens were upset to learn of him killing wolves.

Glenn began his wolf-killing tale by narrating his previous experiences with the species. He often encountered wolves after his team had taken down a moose or elk by looking for tracks left behind after the hunt.

The hunter added that he never found any reason to fear wolves, partly due to his past encounters; however, he learned from investigation that there were just two recently filmed cases of humans being murdered by wolves in North America.

He stated,

“One time, there was a lone wolf that got a Caribou just ahead of me, he didn’t have time to do anything except get it for me.”

He shared that was when he was still with his ex-wife Silvia, and their first child.

His First wife

In the late 90s, Glenn crossed paths with Silvia Daumichen (who was an Opera singer in Berlin, Germany). The two loved being in the wilderness.

Around that time, Villeneuve was inspired by a tale he’d read about renowned American outdoorsman Heimo Korth, who settled with his spouse on the edge of the Coleen River close to the Brooks Range.

Shortly after dating for a while, he tied the knot with Dauemichen in 2001. The former moved to Alaska and welcomed their two kids Willow Leaves and Wold Song.

After 12 years of their marriage, the pair started having differences so they ended up getting divorced. Presumably, Silvia left Alaska and went back to her normal urban life.

When their relationship turned serious, Kazan and her daughter moved to live with Glenn in Alaska on 21 November 2014.

Villeneuve and his second wife, Trisha, had appeared in several episodes of Life Below Zero. No doubt, they look perfect together.
