As of 2023, Ruhle is completely fine and doesn’t have cancer. She is still hosting her weeknight program, The 11th Hour, on MSNBC.

On 12 August 2021, she shared a Twitter video of a person whose wife with stage-4 breast cancer was asked to be discharged on the 3rd day because the hospital had no room left as it was packed with COVID patients (most of them weren’t even vaccinated).

As she tweeted that post, many people appeared to share the experiences they faced in the hospital. One Twitter user wrote,

“I’m currently battling cancer and going through chemo and this is terrifying. If I get COVID I doubt I would survive. Please, everyone, get vaccinated and wear a mask for those of us who are at the highest risk.”
